Game Summary

On October 25, 2026, the Atlanta Falcons defeated the San Francisco 49ers 29-20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Atlanta handed San Francisco its first defeat of the season and earned its first home win. The Falcons also ended a 2-game losing streak.

Kendal Daniels provided the decisive late defensive play by intercepting a pass in the fourth quarter. San Francisco had threatened to rally before the turnover secured Atlanta's victory.

The Falcons changed the game around halftime. Maason Smith forced a fumble to stop a threatening San Francisco possession. Nick Folk then kicked a 33-yard field goal to cut the deficit to 14-12.

Khalil Herbert returned the second-half kickoff 38 yards to give Atlanta favorable field position. Michael Penix Jr. finished the ensuing 59-yard drive with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Pitts.

That sequence put Atlanta ahead 19-14 before San Francisco's offense touched the ball again. Drake London added a touchdown catch to open the fourth quarter. Nick Muse also caught his first career touchdown during a victory built on contributions throughout Atlanta's offense.
