Game Summary

On October 24, 2026, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Edmonton Oilers 7-2 for their fourth consecutive victory. William Nylander scored twice to reach 300 career NHL goals, and Anthony Stolarz made 30 saves.

Toronto received goals from Jack Roslovic, Auston Matthews, Troy Stecher, Zack MacEwen and Vinni Lettieri alongside Nylander’s double. The Maple Leafs improved to 7-4-2 through a performance that produced their highest goal total of the season.

Leon Draisaitl scored both Edmonton goals, bringing his season total to 12. Connor McDavid assisted on both, extending his season-opening point streak to 11 games. McDavid finished the night with 33 points for the season.

The Oilers fell to 8-2-1 and had their three-game winning streak stopped. Toronto’s offense gave Stolarz substantial support against a team that had started the season strongly.

Nylander’s second goal came into an empty net and delivered the career milestone. Toronto finished the night with a five-goal margin and another victory in its own growing winning streak.
